Building on 40 years of nitriding experience having bought over Scotia Surface Hardening co ltd which was first incorporated in 1973, Scotia Surface Hardening Ltd is a family owned business that has expanded to meet the needs of our customers, and our great service and flexible approach has been the key to our expansion. With requests from our existing customers to provide additional processes to cut down cost, delivery times and of course less environmental impact, we have grown into the company we are today and are the only company in Scotland who can offer all of the services we provide on one site.

We continue to evolve as our customers come to us with more requirements, and to facilitate this expansion we have moved to a bigger unit with excellent transport links near Glasgow. This move gave us the space to offer Zinc Phosphating, Shot Blasting and Anti Corrosion/Anti Friction Coatings alongside the Nitriding, and we hope to continue to add to this service offering.

We are ISO:9001:2015 certified and hold approvals with a number of the leading oil and gas engineering companies in the UK. We process parts for a variety of industries including oil and gas, onshore/offshore wind, defence, nuclear power and transport sectors to name but a few, and have carried out research and development work with the University of Strathclyde.
